2008 Annual Meeting : 25th Anniversary Celebration - Held on Thursday, May 22nd at Apple Bank for Savings, New York, NY

Douglas Salvati, Leviticus’ current Treasurer, and Sr. Pat Wolf, RSM, Leviticus’ founding Board President, open the anniversary celebration with a prayer reflection on stewardship.

Attendees at Leviticus' 2008 Annual Meeting listen to opening presentations commemorating the Fund’s 25 year history of community development work in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The celebration was held in the landmarked Central Savings Bank building in New York City, now home to Apple Bank for Savings.

David Raynor, Leviticus’ Executive Director, provides attendees with an overview of Leviticus’ record-setting lending tallies for community development projects in 2007.

A featured speaker at Leviticus’ 25th anniversary was Mark Pinsky, CEO of Opportunity Finance Network, Inc., a national network of private financial intermediaries focused on community development initiatives in low-wealth communities. Sr. Corinne Florek, Coordinator of both the Mercy Partnership Fund and JOLT, a California-based coalition comprising faith-based institutional investors, also was a guest speaker. Sr. Florek’s remarks highlighted the unique role of faith-based investors in building a global economy rooted in solidarity and empowerment.
