Attendees at Leviticus' 2008 Annual Meeting listen to opening presentations commemorating the Fund’s 25 year history of community development work in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The celebration was held in the landmarked Central Savings Bank building in New York City, now home to Apple Bank for Savings.

A featured speaker at Leviticus’ 25th anniversary was Mark Pinsky, CEO of Opportunity Finance Network, Inc., a national network of private financial intermediaries focused on community development initiatives in low-wealth communities. Sr. Corinne Florek, Coordinator of both the Mercy Partnership Fund and JOLT, a California-based coalition comprising faith-based institutional investors, also was a guest speaker. Sr. Florek’s remarks highlighted the unique role of faith-based investors in building a global economy rooted in solidarity and empowerment.
